Welcome to the Westgate family
Pastor Shane and Rebecca de Graaf have been Lead Pastors at Westgate Church since February 2016. They have four children - Seth, twins Evie and Libby and their youngest Harmony.They have a passion for people, community, and the Ipswich region.
​
Pastor Shane loves fishing, fishing lures, UFC, family time, chili dark chocolate and Dr Pepper. Ps Bec has a great love for the beach, swimming (even if its freezing), coffee dates, cooking, flowers and of course family time too.

HISTORY OF WESTGATE INC
(FORMERLY LIGHTHOUSE COC)
REDBANK PLAINS
Westgate church Inc was originally known as Lighthouse Christian
Outreach Centre, Redbank Plains. It was pioneered by Pastors Hans and Dawn Wolfik in March 1997 as a Circuit church (campus) of Brisbane Christian Outreach Centre, now known as Citipointe church.
The church grew very quickly in the first couple of years and we moved from Redbank Plains high school where we had Sunday services to the old BBC Hardware located where Town Square has been built. A Global Care shop, Work for the Dole and Youth Group meant lots of people through the doors and continued growth.
In October 2005 we moved to our present premises due to our building being knocked down to make way for the expansion of the shopping centre and housing. Our name was changed to Westgate even though we still see ourselves as a “lighthouse” and Pastors Shane and Rebecca de Graaf became Associate and Youth Pastors serving alongside Pastors Hans and Dawn.
It was a great shock to the church when Pastor Hans went to heaven at only 65 years in September 2014 after serving the church for almost 18 years. Pastors Shane and Rebecca were set apart as Lead Pastors in February 2016 with Pastor Dawn now serving as Associate Pastor.
